Smit Bokkum is known as the best local fish smoked for over 160 years, this has been going on for generation. They specialize in all kinds of fish, but the eel is the best known. The Smit-Bokkum family are passing the secret smoke process for 6 generations (Jan, Evert, Jan, Evert, Jan, Evert).
Every day except Monday they are open from 10:00 am until 11 pm, they are open for dining in and taking out. There are enough parking places for every vehicle, and it is easy accessible for everyone. It is possible to get a tour after you ate in the restaurant about the smokehouse. Everything is on the ground floor and there is enough room for disabled people or service dogs. The prices are really good for the quality you get, some are a bit more expensive than others, but most dishes are around 18 euros.

It is one of hottest bistros in Volendam right now, located in the harbour and has a beautiful terrace for the beautiful view of the harbour. It has a lot of vegetarian and gluten free recipes, so they think of everyone. The opening hours are from 10 am until 1 am, except on Saturdays then they are open until 2 am. It is really difficult to park in the zone where the restaurant is located, but there are a few options that are close by. Such as the Art hotel Spaander, Marinapark/parallelweg and havenhof. All the prices are average, some are a bit expensive for the quality, but besides that it is really good. As I mentioned earlier, it is really difficult to get there with a car, but that is the only down side. All the other things such as service dogs, disabled people or people who just do not want to walk far it is easily accessible.

this restaurant is definitely not a culinary one, but it offers you a lot of different dishes of first class. Such as sandwiches and baps. It is the ideal restaurant for a quick visit with a nice view of the Ijsselmeer. It even has vegetarian meals for a nice price and many local dishes. The opening hours are really nice, because they are open from 9 am until 10 pm, on Fridays until 12 am and Saturdays until 2.30 am. They are located right in the centre of Volendam so it is not easy to get there with the car, it is on walking distance when you park your car. The prices are average, some are cheaper then others. It is also a bar so people from all ages come in to get a bite or party on a Friday or Saturday night. It is not easy accessible, because it is quite small so people with a wheelchair will have a harder time getting comfortable.
